Abstract
|
|
|
Nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is an uncommon benign tumor, which occurs almost exclusively in adolescent male. It arises from connective tissue in the vault of the nasopharynx and then invades the surrounding. structures.
Although histologically benign, these vascular tumor are considered clinically malignant because of local invasion and expansive growth, bleeding tendency in surgical procedure, and postoperative recurrence.
Surgical extirpation is generally regarded as the treatment of choice.
The authors recently experienced a case of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma and report here now with reviewing the literatures.
